Altenew A Year In Review Blog Hop -UPD-

Hello!

Year is coming to an end and we are all looking back to focus on the best moments of the year and... the most loved cards created with Altenew!

It is very hard to choose because each is created with love and special meaning, but here is my hard choice of 4!

The first card is with Lotus stamp set.

I begun with outline images and stamped them with Moon Rock Crisp Dye Ink, then I used solid layer stamps with Evening Gray Crisp Dye Ink. After that has started the most interesting part: coloring with watercolor pencils. You can go with any other pencils you have. Use lighter colors first, adding more shades with a darker ones step by step. I colored one of the lotuses in blue color using Caribbean Crisp Dye Ink and Arctic Crisp Dye Ink to pop-up on a grey background. For the card base I used Real Gray cardstock. Sentiment is made with Beautiful Quotes stamp set and Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink.

For the second card I used Altenew's Bejeweled stamp set and coordinating dies.

I embossed on vellum with white embossing powder and colored butterfly with Tombow Brush Pens set of 10 (Portrait ). This butterfly turned out like a wood one, so I decided to place her on a piece of real wood usingAltenew's Cherry Wood . The Card base is also wooden - Woodgrain white cardstock. Finally, for the sentiment I used the one from Best Mom stamp set and added some sequins. I made my butterfly slide over the wood up and down in a very simple way - I used a paper clip. One end is to hold and move and the other - to adhere the butterfly on it!

The third card is made with one of my favorite stamp sets “Dancing In The Rain“.

I cut out a window from a black cardstock and stamped the window image from the stamp set on the inner part of my card. I used black embossing powder and little bit of yellow to highlight one of the windows.

Using clear embossing powder, I embossed the rain drops on the front panel. It looks so realistic on a Jet Black cardstock. I decided to use two sentiments from the set: one on the front and one inside the card.

And with the last card I want to say Thanks to everyone who inspired me, who was inspired by me, who shared their emotions and took a time to leave sweet comments, who was with me and gave needed support and thumb ups all the year long!

For the card base I took Pale Grey Cardstock. I chose Floral Shadow stamp set that I love so much and started to stamp with Evening Grey Crisp Dye Ink, then went with Persian Blue Crisp Dye Ink and ended up with Saphire Crisp Dye Ink. Then I added a little butterfly from the Wild Hibiscus Stamp set with Saphire Crisp Dye Ink. The little stamped sentiment “we appreciate you” is from the same Wild Hibiscus Stamp set.For the main focal point – big “Thanks” word I used our Thanks die, Navy cardstock and Silver tape. I adhered 4 stripes of Silver tape on a white cardstock close to each other as much as possible to create a piece of glitter cardstock and then die cut it. I also die cut three pieces in a navy blue color and ahered them all together. I adhered silver layer with a little displacement so I got this contrast shadow look.
